Do I need to read sheet music?

No. The fingerboard shows every note with its string, finger, and position. The staff is optional.

Which file types can I open?

Violinista opens MIDI and MusicXML files. MuseScore, Sibelius, Finale, and Dorico can export MusicXML. Premium can scan a photo or PDF.

Can beginners use it?

Yes. Set the highest position to 1st to keep suggested fingerings in first position.

Can teachers use it with students?

Yes, but there are no linked student accounts or shared dashboards. Students can bring a heatmap or CSV export to a lesson.

Which intonation system does the trainer use?

You choose expressive, pure, or equal intonation. Equal works with keyboards and fixed-pitch recordings. Pure works with a drone.

Does the free plan expire?

No. The free tools have no time or usage limit.

Is my music or microphone audio uploaded?

MIDI and MusicXML files stay in your browser unless you save them. Microphone audio is processed locally. Scanned pages are uploaded for recognition.

What happens if I cancel Premium?

Your sessions stay stored. You can export them at any time. The most recent seven days remain visible.
